How Saengchan Came to Be
Saengchan was founded in Hat Yai with a clear purpose: to offer family legal counsel that never feels rushed or transactional. Our founding lawyers had seen, in their earlier careers, how families navigating legal matters often felt overwhelmed by cold procedures and unclear processes. They wanted something different — a practice where the pace of service matches the sensitivity of what clients are experiencing.
Operating from Thanon Kanchanawanit in Hat Yai, we have served families from across Songkhla and the surrounding provinces. Our work has always centred on three areas: separation and divorce, family mediation, and adoption and guardianship. We have stayed focused on these fields deliberately, so that our depth of knowledge in each area genuinely benefits the people who come to us.
Every client who walks through our door is treated as an individual with a unique situation — not a case file with a number. We explain each step in plain language, ask the right questions, and make sure no one feels pressured toward a decision they are not ready for.
Our Mission
What Guides Us Every Day
Dignity Above All
We treat every family matter with the gravity it deserves. Our clients come to us during some of life's harder moments, and our first responsibility is to make those moments more manageable.
Transparency in Practice
Fees are stated clearly, timelines are discussed honestly, and no step in the legal process is left unexplained. We believe clients make better decisions when they understand what is happening.
Long-term Wellbeing
We are not here to close a file quickly. We look for outcomes that leave families in a genuinely better position — legally, practically, and where possible, in their relationships with one another.

How We Work
Our Professional Standards
The standards that govern our practice are not just requirements — they are habits we hold to because our clients deserve nothing less.
Licensed Practice
All lawyers at Saengchan hold active licences with the Lawyers Council of Thailand and maintain continuing professional development each year.
Strict Confidentiality
We follow the professional confidentiality obligations required by Thai legal practice, and go beyond them in how we protect client information internally.
Clear Communication
We avoid legal jargon where plain language will do. Every client receives written summaries of key decisions and next steps in their matter.
Ethical Practice
We do not take on matters where conflicts of interest could affect our ability to act in our client's best interests. We are clear about this from the outset.
Secure Document Handling
Client documents are stored securely and disposed of responsibly after the required retention period. Digital files are kept on password-protected, encrypted systems.
Respectful Process
Every interaction — from first enquiry to case closure — is conducted with courtesy and without pressure. We work at the pace that suits our clients.
Our Expertise
Family Law in Southern Thailand
Saengchan operates within the jurisdiction of Thai civil and family law, with particular experience in how courts and district offices in Songkhla handle family matters. Family law in Thailand is governed primarily by the Civil and Commercial Code, and the way these provisions are applied in practice can vary meaningfully between regions and courts.
Our team has built relationships with local courts, district offices, and the departments that manage adoption applications and guardianship appointments in the southern provinces. This local knowledge reduces delays and helps clients understand what to expect from the institutions involved in their matter.
For international clients — including those from neighbouring countries or with mixed-nationality family situations — we offer guidance on the relevant Thai provisions and how they interact with other jurisdictions. We work with translation partners when documentation in other languages is required.
Whether a client is navigating the end of a marriage, trying to resolve a family disagreement without going to court, or taking the meaningful step of bringing a child into their family through adoption, Saengchan provides straightforward legal support without unnecessary complexity.
